We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. On Saturday Ryan and I went to lunch and did a little shopping. Saturday night we roasted hot dogs for dinner and marshmallows for dessert. Afterwards we stayed up till midnight and watched movies with the kids. Sunday we had a day of rest. Monday was the BIG day. My friend Rikke invited us over to go to her HOA BBQ. The kids had a blast. There was bounce houses and slides, dunk tank, face painting, games and food.

February 5, 2011 was such a wonderful day for our family. Kennedy our oldest daughter was baptized and McKinley our youngest was blessed. I'm so proud of Kennedy and the decision she made to be baptized. She is growing up so fast and becoming a wonderful young lady. McKinley is such a blessing to our family and we love having a new baby around, even though she was a BIG surprise.

SALT LAKE CITY TRIP

The kids had Friday off from school so we decided to take a little trip and stay in downtown Salt Lake City. We had everything packed and surprised the kids on Thursday when they got home from school. We stayed at the Marriot on Thursay and Friday night. On Friday we went to Temple Square and The Gateway. We couldn't leave without making a stop at BUILD A BEAR. After a long day we went back to the Hotel and Jackson took a nap. Ryan stayed with Jackson so me and the girls went to "The Garden" at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for dinner. We had a wonderful girls night out. The girls had so much fun, they said they can't wait for Aunt Jodi to get here to take her to eat at The Garden. We did alot of swimming while we were there. We met alot of families while we were there and they were doing the same thing. I think we should do alot more of these small vacations more often!!!

TOOTHLESS REAGAN

Reagan's two front teeth have been loose for about 6 months and we can't get them to come out. So finally on December 31st we were over at my parents and she got hit in the face with my moms METAL American Girl doll bed. It knocked out one of her front teeth and made the other one very loose. It was driving Ryan CRAZY that the other tooth was barely hanging in, so he talked Reagan into letting him tie dental floss around it and pulling it out. I don't need to explain anymore, the pictures explain it ALL!!!

We had a really nice Christmas this year. My sister and nephew Justice came in from Tennessee to help me with baby McKinley and my other kids, but I ended up having McKinley 3 weeks early so I felt great when they got here. They stayed for 11 days and we had so much fun while they were here. They've only been gone for 5 days and we already miss them so much. We wish they could live here!!!

McKinley is now 1 month old. She is doing wonderful. She is now 5 lbs. 2 oz. and growing. This little girl is such a miracle and we truly believe she was sent to us from Ryan's dad that passed away in October of 2009. We named her after her Grandpa Lynn Patterson - McKinley Lynn Patterson. She'll be our little reminder of him everyday. We love and miss you so much dad and thanks for the wonderful gift!!!

McKinley is doing much better. They took her vent tube out, took her off sedation, took blood gas line out and we were finally able to hold her after 5 days. Today she was finally able to eat, she got her first bottle at 5:30 am. If all goes well hopefully she'll be home by this weekend.

I want to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I also want to thank all my family and friends for all your help thru this. Thanks for the help with our other kids so Ryan could be with me and McKinley at the hospital and for the dinners. That helps so much so I don't have one more thing to worry about.

Halloween was so fun this year. We had alot of family come over to go Trick-or-Treating with us. The kids were awesome considering it was raining and very cold. I stayed home this year to give out candy because being 8 months pregnant I don't think I would have made it very far. Ryan said Jackson was having so much fun he would run from door to door. I wish I could have got a picture of all 3 of my kids together but Jackson wouldn't go near Kennedy. He was to scared of her.

Ok so in the last post I said the Entertainment Center was going to be next. Well it was. It was a much larger project then the dresser. It took double the paint and double the time but it was so worth it. Well maybe!! My sister has been on me for so long to update my blog, so this is for you Jodi. The last time I posted was back in December of 2009 for Jackson turning 2 in September of 2009. I'm so on top of things. Alot has happened over the last year...

Kennedy had a father/daughter activity at church. It was a Pinewood Derby Race. Ryan and Kennedy had so much fun building and painting her car. Ryan really gets into this kind of stuff. He still has his Derby Car from 25 years ago. Kennedy decided she wanted it yellow with a black race stripe and she named it BUMBLE BEE. She took 6th place out of 25 girls.

School finally started, so I now get a well needed break. Kennedy is in the 3rd grade and Reagan is in 1st grade. Reagan will be in the French Emmersion program this year. She will be learning half the day in French and half the day in English.

Reagan and Kennedy have been taking piano lessons. They had there first piano recital and both done AWESOME. Reagan was so funny because she played with only her right hand. She kept her left hand at her side the whole time. Then she wanted to keep playing. She played her song twice and was headed for a third time when her teacher clapped so Reagan would know she was done.

Jackson is getting so BIG!!! He turned three on September 19th and he is now old enough to start preschool. He misses the dead line so he goes to the tiny three class. Its only 1.5 hours twice a week but it does give me some alone time.

In April we found out that were expecting another addition to our family. Her due date is December 22, 2010. Thats right I said her, another GIRL. The kids are so excited for a new baby sister. Her name will be McKinley Lynn Patterson. She is being named after Ryan's Dad Milton Lynn Patterson. They will have the same initials and there birthdays will be 3 days apart. McKinley was a wonderful surprise sent to us from Ryan's dad.

We tragically lost Ryan's dad last October due to a drunk driver. WE LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH DAD AND GRANDPA!!!

Reagan has now finished preschool and is moving onto bigger and better things, KINDERGARTEN. Here is some pictures of Reagan at preschool. I loved her teachers. They're so wonderful with the kids and are always doing fun stuff. They had a big party/picnic at the park for the last day of school. Of course Reagan was climbing up the slide backwards and fell. She cut her chin open and had to go to the instacare.

Kennedy and Reagan started soccer yesterday. Ryan and I are coaching both of there teams. We had so much fun watching these little kids play and have fun. Reagan is on a team of all little girls but one boy and we played a team of all BIG boys, but if you know Reagan you know that she was right up in there with all the boys. She was knocked down a few times but she got right back up and kept going. Kennedy's team is about the same way. We have 6 girls and 4 boys. Kennedy did so wonderful for it being her first time playing. I was really amazed at how well she played. They both had tons of fun and that is all that matters!!!

We had a wonderful and busy Easter weekend. We decorated chocolate Easter bunnies on Friday night with Grandma Debbie. On Saturday we had the "Amazing Easter Egg Race" at Aunt Norma's and then went home to color eggs. On Sunday after seeing what the Easter Bunny brought we hurried and got ready to go to my brother Brandon's for brunch and another egg hunt. The kids have soooo much candy. Its hard having it in the house when your trying to diet.

I know, I know, I haven't blogged in a very long time. I have been very busy. We've had alot of things going on. Here are just a few:

We had the chance to go to California to watch my niece Skylar perform at a cheerleading competition. That was my first time seeing her perform and she was wonderful. I can't believe what those little girls can do. While we were there we went to Disneyland and to Hunington Beach. Ryan had to stay home and work so me and the kids went with my parents in there motorhome. I didn't take alot of pictures because it was hard taking care of three kids and my parents. LOL

We had some extra time on Sunday before Skylar's performance so we went to the beach with my brother Brandon and nephew Kenseth. We had alot of fun. My parents went and rented a bike that will seat four adults and three kids up front in a little basket. We rode down the path along the beach. Brandon was the driver and at one point he wasn't paying attention and drove us right into the sand and we almost tipped over. We had tons of fun!!!

We had the opportunity to take our children to the new Draper Temple open house. They were so excited to go, but after three hours of waiting Reagan was in tears and really didn't care anymore. Kennedy talks about it all the time so I think she was ok with it.

CRAZY ABOUT READING

It was crazy about reading day at Kennedy's school. You were suppose to dress crazy and do your hair crazy. Kennedy loved to dress crazy. Uncle RB says she looks like Punkie Brewster. I loved that show!!!

Reagan's preschool class went on a fieldtrip to the U of U Natural History Museum. I'm such a lucky mom to be able to go and experience this with my daughter. I had fun with the kids.

We finally took Jackson to get his first haircut. We went to a place called Cookie Cutters. They are so great with kids. You get to choose what you want to sit it (fire truck, race car, old time cars, etc) and what movie you want to watch while having your haircut. Jackson was sooo good. He just sat there and let the lady shave and cut. He looks so much older, he's my little man now. How time flies. I love having a little boy and I'm so proud to be his mom.

While we were there the girls also got there haircut. They did so good with the girls. When there finished cutting there hair they do it however the girls want. I suggest if your getting your kids haircut to take them to Cookie Cutters. My kids loved it and actually sat really steel while they had there hair cuts. They keep asking when we get to go back!!!!

Glasses and One Big Mess

Over the last few months we have noticed Reagan standing right next to the TV and computer screen. She also keeps telling us she can't see things. So last week on Tuesday I took her to the eye doctor. The diagnosis was that she is very far sided and has lazy eye. On Wednesday I received a letter from her preschool saying she failed her eye exam at school. I'm really glad I decided to take her in. Well today was the big day, we picked up her new glasses. It is really different to see her with glasses. On the way home she said "mom I can see those birds" and she keeps lower them and pulling them back up. I think she can finally see things clearly but just don't understand exactly why.

WHAT A MESS!!!!!

We decided we needed to wash our cover to our Lov Sack. Well when we unzipped it the inside cover had ripped. So we had this bright idea to put it all on the family room floor while the cover was washing. The kids really enjoyed it, but made a big mess. Ryan's mom made us a new inside cover so we don't have to go through this again. THANK YOU MOM!!!

We had such a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas Eve. my parents came over for dinner and to decorate gingerbread houses. It was sooo fun. The kids opened one present that night. Of course it was new Christmas PJ's. Then off to bed. Reagan took forever to fall asleep because she said she was staying up all night to wait for Santa. About 7:00 Kennedy and Jackson woke up and so I let them wake up Reagan. Now time to open presents. That took about 3 minutes. The kids were so excited they got alot of what they wanted.

The girls went to a birthday party for there cousin Alexis. This was the party event of the year. It was a ROCK STAR party and you had to dress in your best rock star attire. I love Halloween. Its so much fun to dress up and take the kids Trick or Treating. Well this year was a weird one. Kennedy wanted to be a pirate, Reagan wanted to be a cave girl so I decided to do "Pebbles Flintstone", and Ryan decided to have Jackson be a race car driver. Wednesday night Reagan decided she didn't want to be a cave girl because she didn't want a bone in her hair. She said she wanted to be a pirate like Kennedy. That was ok because we already had 2 pirate costumes. Then on Halloween morning she decided to be Super Girl. We got her all ready in that. and then she changed her mind again and wanted to be a pirate. If you know Reagan this is totally her personality. Then on Halloween night Kennedy decided she wanted to be "Super Bobby Jack" (the monkey). I think she was sick of wearing her pirate costume from all the Halloween parties she went to. I also volunteered for both Reagan's and Kennedy's school parties. But who cares about all of this we had a Wonderful Halloween!!

WOW!!! Today we took Jackson to get his 1 year old shots. While we were there we decided to get Reagan's kindergarten shots over and done with. Then we also decided to get them flu shots. So that was a total of 6 shots each. Reagan went 1st. She was trying so hard to keep the tears away but finally after shot #4 she let them go. Jackson was next. Right after she stuck the 1st shot in he started screaming. It's really hard for me to see my kids upset and hurting, so I decided to go today while Ryan had the day off and he could help me. After we left the Dr. office Reagan said "that didn't even hurt". Afterwards we took them to get breakfast and ice cream for being so good and strong. They both look silly with all there band-aids. Reagan has three on each arm and Jackson has one on each arm and leg.

Wednesday was Reagan's first field trip for school. It was so much fun. We went to Wheeler Farm. Reagan was so excited because she got to ride the Big Yellow School Bus. I wasn't able to ride the bus because I took Jackson, so I followed them there. Reagan and Brooklyn (my niece) loved seeing all the animals and feeding the Ducks and Geese. It was so funny becasue Reagan was hungry and wanted to eat her bread, but the Geese kept trying to get it from her. When we were leaving I asked Reagan if she wanted to ride home with me and so fast she answered "NO I'm riding the bus". I love being able to stay home with my kids and to go and do these fun things with them.

I can't believe my baby is 1. Seems like we just had him. How fast this year has went by. It has been different having a little boy but it is so wonderful. Jackson's birthday was actually on September 19th, but we had to wait to have his party because Kennedy had her tonsils out that day. We had him such a cute birthday party. It was done in "Curious George". We had all our family over for brunch. Instead of cake we had Banana Cream pies. It turned out great. Jackson did have his very own cake. I let the girls pick it out and they wanted chocolate. When we first gave it to him it just looked at it, so I helped him put one hand in and after that he took over from there. When we finally took it from him he cried.

Jackson brings so much joy to our family and we love him so much. HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY JACKSON!!!

Finally she woke up!! We got a little smile

On Friday September 19th Kennedy was able to get rid of her tonsils. This is going to be a wonderful thing for her. You would not believe the snoring that comes out of this beautiful little girl. It is soooo loud. She also has sleep apnea and stops breathing while she sleeps. Hopefully taking her tonsils out will get rid out all of this. She was so brave when we had to say goodbye and they took her to the surgical room. We had it done at Primary Children's Hospital. They were wonderful and they sure know what they're doing when it comes to children. Kennedy was able to ride in a wagon to the surgical room. After the surgery she was so great in the recovery room. All the nurses kept coming over and saying how cute she was and what beautiful hair she has. She has to miss all week of school, so she'll be home with me this week and we'll be doing home school. She keeps asking if she can go play outside or at her friend Jimena's, but she can't get to rough or it can start to bleed and she'll have to have surgery again.

WELL Friday was also another BIG day. Jackson turned 1 years old. We have been so busy we haven't been able to have his party yet. But this Sunday will be his BIG celebration. HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY JACKSON!!!

Reagan - Preschool

Well today was finally Reagan's BIG day. She started her second year of pre-school. Kennedy started school 2 weeks ago and Reagan would keep asking "Mom when do I get to go to school". Her cousin Brooklyn will be going to school with her this year so she is really excited. Reagan has the same teachers as last year so she was excited to see them again. I was able to volunteer today so I could see how her first day went. The school she attends really likes for parents to volunteer so they give a discount if you do. I like to volunteer so I can have more one on one time with Reagan and she loves it when I come. Reagan is such a happy kid and fun to be around. She is turning into such a young lady (or boy). If you know Reagan you know what I mean. We love her sooo much. Good Luck In Pre-School.

WOW - We had so much fun today. We went to Lagoon with my family. We went on Rattle Snake Rapids and got SOAKED!!! Me and my sister-in-law Lisa got the worst of it. We also went on WICKED. The name really fits this ride. It was a great ride. The kids sure had a great time, but was really really tired at the end of the day. We have season passes so we'll be going again next Sunday.

We went camping again over Labor Day weekend. We came home a little early because it started raining, but we had tons of fun. My mom and dad came with us and they really enjoyed it. We like camping at Soapstone (In the Uinta's) because your right up in the mountains and there is alot of four-wheeling trails. We usually put about 60 miles on our four-wheelers each trip. The girls have there own little four-wheeler. Kennedy is really good at riding and Reagan is starting to learn. The kids have so much fun but they get really dirty. The girls wanted to ride with grandma so my dad had to ride one the back of mine because he has seizures and isn't suppose to drive. The kids love to go for rides but Reagan and Jackson always fall asleep.

Kennedy - 1st grade

Well Monday August 25th was a big day for Kennedy. She started the 1st grade. She asked me if she'll go all day until night time. She was so exccited to start 1st grade because her really good friend Jimena that lives next door is in her class and she gets to eat lunch at school. I think it was harder on me this year then when she went to kindergarten. I just keep thinking ALL DAY and I'm even letting her ride the bus to and from school. She has grown up so much. We love her so much and it's a blessing to have her in our lives. Good luck in 1st grade.

Tribute to our brother and uncle

Ryan's brother Lane is currently serving in Iraq for the second time. We want to let him know that we love him and think about him all the time. We support him and all our soldiers for what they're doing for our Country and family. We pray for there safety and hope they come home soon. Lane's wife Michelle made this wonderful video and I wanted to post it so more people can see what our soldiers are doing and going through for our country. We're in Tennessee for a week on vacation visiting my sister Jodi and her family. My kids and I came with my parents. Ryan had to stay home and work. We miss him sooo much. We've been here for 3 days and we're having so much fun. We went to a place called Chuckles that has go-carts, games, lazier tag, etc. We also went bowling, swimming and the fair. While out to eat we gave Jackson a lemon and he loved it (as you can tell in the picture). Well I'm new to blogging so I hope this works. I found a couple of my cousins blogs while on the Internet today and thought they were way cute so I thought I would give it a try. Here we go!!!
